Old Testament Scripture Reading Isaiah 42:1 – 9 (KJV)
Isa 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Isa 42:2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
Isa 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
Isa 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
Isa 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
Isa 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
Isa 42:7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isa 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

New Testament Scripture Reading John 1:1 – 14 (KJV)
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Transforming Power Statements:

#1) Throughout the Old Testament there were many promises made of the coming Messiah and the qualifications were constantly made greater and greater with the addition of more facets of the character of Messiah the Prince of the Most High GOD.

#2) The prophets of old and the Jewish Nation in general were always living in Messianic expectation, yet there was always an obscured view of just exactly what Messiah would be like specifically.

#3) The promises of God were the dividing line between Israel as a people and the flow of God’s plan to deliver Messiah for the salvation of all who would be willing to believe in Him and lay hold of the hope that was promised and fulfilled when the Word became flesh and dwelt among us during the first Advent of Christ Jesus.

Old Testament Scripture Reading Micah 6:6 – 8 (KJV)
Micah 6:6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
Micah 6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Micah 6:8 He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

New Testament Scripture Reading Luke 2:21 – 35 (KJV)
Luke 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
Luke 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;
Luke 2:23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
Luke 2:24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
Luke 2:27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
Luke 2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Luke 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
Luke 2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
Luke 2:31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
Luke 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
Luke 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
Luke 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
Luke 2:35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Study Notes
Transforming Power Statements:

#1) Although the promises of God were many and reliable, the Old Testament saints did not have the evidence nor even as full of an understanding as New Testament saints as to just how God intended to deal with the fulfillment of the perfect, awesome salvation that we now enjoy as it is in Christ Jesus.

#2) The sinfulness of man always has a tendency to alter the intent and course of the divine plan because of the deceitfulness of sin and therefore we must always allow the Word to be the final court and not human opinions.

#3) We are blessed that God has made His Gospel so plain and we therefore should have certainty and boldness to export the gospel against all forms of opposition and rejoice along the way.

Old Testament Scripture Reading Psalms 2:1 – 12 (KJV)
Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Psa 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psa 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Psa 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

New Testament Scripture Reading Mark 11:1 – 11 (KJV)
Mark 11:1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
Mark 11:2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
Mark 11:3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
Mark 11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
Mark 11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
Mark 11:6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
Mark 11:7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
Mark 11:8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strowed them in the way.
Mark 11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
Mark 11:10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
Mark 11:11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

Study Notes
Transforming Power Statements: #1) Prophecies from the Older Testament had spoken of the coming of God’s King and promised the kingdom which would be the greatest of all time, as they predicted to two Advents of Messiah the Prince, the Son of the living God.

#2) Much of the traditional celebration that was very much a thriving part of orthodox Jewish living was centered around the coming One being endowed with salvation delivering peace and times of refreshing from the presence of the LORD.

#3) This visitation of the King marked the fulfillment of His receipt for the first Advent which was followed by His prophesied crucifixion burial and resurrection to make acceptable atonement for the sin of the world available to every sinner coming to God by faith in Him alone; this is the gospel.

Micah 5:3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
Micah 5:4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

Transforming Power Statements: #1) The spiritual things that God has done are only beautiful to those who are able to see them; i.e. the ones who have been ‘born from above’ or as KJV says ‘born again’ therefore those who are not saved always fail to know the beauties of the Christ.

#2) The fulfillment of prophecies from of old is truly a beautiful facet to show believers the precision and accuracies of the mind of God Who has told the story before time so that we can easily see that it is true and have faith in His Son.

#3) Although it is normal to be rejected as we reveal the beauty of Christ we must always be diligent to proclaim the gospel which is the power of God to every one who believes!!!!

Transforming Power Statements: #1) Preparing for the next move of God calls for a time of prayer, meditation, and self evaluation so that when God is ready to move, we can be ready to respond and move with Him in His will.

#2) Since God has fully revealed His will for the salvation of mankind, let us first fully assimilate the gospel to ourselves and then simply stand strong in Jesus Christ as we confront a sinful unbelieving culture with the message of God’s unfailing love and the great sacrifice that He has made on their behalf. #3) Let us rise up and face 2008 A.D. with full assurance that even though we are a weak unfinished work that our Savior is almighty and all powerful and therefore in our weakness is His power perfected so that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.

Old Testament Scripture Reading Isaiah 6:1 – 12 (KJV)
Isa 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Isa 6:2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
Isa 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Isa 6:4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isa 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
Isa 6:6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
Isa 6:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Isa 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isa 6:9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
Isa 6:10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
Isa 6:11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
Isa 6:12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

New Testament Scripture Reading Romans1:1 – 7 (KJV)
Rom 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Rom 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
Rom 1:10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
Rom 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
Rom 1:12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Transforming Power Statements:
#1) When fallen people are called by God through the gospel and understand and accept God’s call, they are instantly transformed spiritually from a mere sinner to adopted children of God and referred to in Holy Scripture as ‘Saints’.

#2) Prayer heard and accepted by God on behalf of His Son Jesus is among the greatest of the manifold benefits of being a saint and therefore should be applied at all times and for all purposes in order that all things in life may be subjected to our LORD by our faith.

#3) We are a team, and there is enormous benefit in the blending of our prayers and purposes as we join to engage the fallen world with God’s only message of hope and salvation, while at the same time praying our way through the transitions within ourselves as the Holy Spirit continues to comfort, teach, and adjust us to the Word and will of God.

Responding To The Kindness of God

Old Testament Scripture Reading Deuteronomy 32:8 – 21 (NASB)
Deu 32:8 “When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of man, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the sons of Israel.
Deu 32:9 “For the LORD’S portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance.
Deu 32:10 “He found him in a desert land, And in the howling waste of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
Deu 32:11 “Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, That hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions.
Deu 32:12 “The LORD alone guided him, And there was no foreign god with him.
Deu 32:13 “He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he ate the produce of the field; And He made him suck honey from the rock, And oil from the flinty rock,
Deu 32:14 Curds of cows, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, And rams, the breed of Bashan, and goats, With the finest of the wheat– And of the blood of grapes you drank wine.
Deu 32:15 “But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked– You are grown fat, thick, and sleek– Then he forsook God who made him, And scorned the Rock of his salvation.
Deu 32:16 “They made Him jealous with strange gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger.
Deu 32:17 “They sacrificed to demons who were not God, To gods whom they have not known, New gods who came lately, Whom your fathers did not dread.
Deu 32:18 “You neglected the Rock who begot you, And forgot the God who gave you birth.
Deu 32:19 “And the LORD saw this, and spurned them Because of the provocation of His sons and daughters.
Deu 32:20 “Then He said, ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end shall be; For they are a perverse generation, Sons in whom is no faithfulness.
Deu 32:21 ‘They have made Me jealous with what is not God; They have provoked Me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation,

New Testament Scripture Reading Romans 2:1 – 11 (NASB)
Rom 2:1 Therefore you are without excuse, every man of you who passes judgment, for in that you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
Rom 2:2 And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things.
Rom 2:3 And do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment upon those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?
Rom 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
Rom 2:5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
Rom 2:6 who WILL RENDER TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:
Rom 2:7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;
Rom 2:8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.
Rom 2:9 There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek,
Rom 2:10 but glory and honor and peace to every man who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Rom 2:11 For there is no partiality with God.

Study Notes
Transforming Power Points:

#1) After Paul has shown us what a culture looks like being under the wrath of God, who by their own choices have ignored the Creator God, and violated their very own consciences, he then goes on to explain to others who may not be ‘that bad’ that if they are able to pass judgment on the others that they should rather pass judgment on themselves in that God is perfectly Holy and just and that they too have broken God’s Law as well and therefore are guilty in His sight of the same state of sin from heaven’s viewpoint. {The pot must not call the kettle black}

#2) Because of the preaching of creation and conscience from the dawn of time, whose message is equal to all men, Jews and Gentiles alike from the beginning of time up until the gospel shall be judged by God and His judgment shall be just.

#3) Although these verses might be mistaken to mean that {prior to the full revelation of the gospel} ‘salvation is by works’ it is obvious based on the entirety of Scripture that salvation is not by works but by grace and by faith.

Old Testament Scripture Reading Daniel 7:9 - 14 (NASB)
Dan 7:9 "I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow, And the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, Its wheels were a burning fire.
Dan 7:10 "A river of fire was flowing And coming out from before Him; Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him; The court sat, And the books were opened.
Dan 7:11 "Then I kept looking because of the sound of the boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire.
Dan 7:12 "As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but an extension of life was granted to them for an appointed period of time.
Dan 7:13 "I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him.
Dan 7:14 "And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations, and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed.

New Testament Scripture Reading Romans 2:11 - 16 (NASB)
Rom 2:11 For there is no partiality with God.
Rom 2:12 For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law; and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law;
Rom 2:13 for not the hearers of the Law are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.
Rom 2:14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves,
Rom 2:15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,
Rom 2:16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.

Study Notes
Transforming Power Points:
#1) Because of the testimonies of ‘Creation and Conscience’ all people, both Jews and Gentiles alike are without excuse for not believing in God and all of them in both camps are guilty of violating God’s standards in some form or another and therefore are in serious need of God’s pardon or else they all must be condemned.
#2) Man, due to a lack of knowledge, never can judge completely without partiality and usually always tends to favor himself over another; and being born spiritually dead operates in blindness of the gospel and needs therefore, to be born from above in order to see their need for the provision of God in order to attain an acceptable righteousness according to God’s perfect moral standard, which can only be satisfied by Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
#3) The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the standard by which all people shall be tried and shall stand or fall in God’s sight on the basis of their position with respect only to how they have either accepted or rejected Christ as the only spotless Mediator acceptable to God on their behalf.

Peeling Back the Veneer of Self-Righteousness

Old Testament Scripture Reading Psalms 115:1 – 13 (KJV)
Psa 115:1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.
Psa 115:2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
Psa 115:3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
Psa 115:4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Psa 115:5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
Psa 115:6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
Psa 115:7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
Psa 115:8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
Psa 115:9 O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
Psa 115:12 The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
Psa 115:13 He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.

New Testament Scripture Reading Romans 2:16 – 24 (KJV)
Rom 2:16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.
Rom 2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
Rom 2:18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
Rom 2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
Rom 2:20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
Rom 2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
Rom 2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
Rom 2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

Transforming Power Statements: #1) During these first two chapters of Romans, the Apostle Paul has been systematically cutting down all the piers that support any possible case that there could be even a shear thread of hope that anyone in all of time could ever have laid a claim to a right standing before a holy God apart from God’s mercy and pardon, and is revealing that underneath a very thin layer of externals lies enough sin in each person to make it right that an impartial God could condemn completely the entire population on Earth in all of time if He chose to.
#2) The misunderstanding of the Jews who were the recipients of the Holy Scriptures, had caused them to develop a double standard for the judgment of Gentiles vs. the judgment of themselves, which is the same error often made by the Church of God, due to the fact that fallen man has a tendency to justify himself at the expense of condemning another; this is Hypocrisy.

#3) It is apparent that apart from the Gospel, no one can stand justified before a Holy God who is the only one who based purely on His Grace and love has made a perfect provision for us to cover our sins by the sacrifice and blood of Jesus, so that we can know for sure that He will not bring us into condemnation and that by His Holy Spirit He will produce in everyone who believes, a righteousness which exceeds any veneer of self-righteousness that we wear to cover the internal stain of personal corruption.

Old Testament Scripture Reading Jeremiah 4:1 – 4 (KJV)
Jer 4:1 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.
Jer 4:2 And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
Jer 4:3 For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
Jer 4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

New Testament Scripture Reading Romans 2:24 – 29 (KJV)
Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
Rom 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
Rom 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
Rom 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Transforming Power Statements:
#1) Although God did command Abraham to be circumcised, it was not at the age of seventy five but until the age of ninety nine, therefore Abraham was saved {Justified} while not being circumcised by faith alone which led him to be circumcised twenty four years later, just before the miraculous birth of Isaac by Sarah!

#2) God throughout the Scriptures repeatedly called upon Israel to be circumcised in the heart rather than in the foreskin of their flesh alone; that is to be of a holy nature in everyday life and not to hide behind a rite or ritual with no righteous standard of living.

#3) Since circumcision is the central ritual required by God as a token of the relationship He treasured with the People of Israel, and was completely fulfilled in Christ Jesus, of how much less importance does God place on other rituals, rites, and ceremonies created and practiced by the Jews and the Church if there is no real righteousness of life, seeing that such activity denies the fullness of the sacrifice of Christ which alone satisfies God on behalf of all who believe in Him.
